The Word of God

We believe the Old and New Testament are the inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings, complete as the revelation of God’s will for salvation, and the supreme and final authority in all matters to which they speak. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20, 21)

The Trinity

We believe in one God, creator and sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; that these are equal in every divine perfection and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption. (Deuteronomy6:4; Matthew 3:16, 17; Matthew 28:19; I John 5:7, I Peter 1:2)

God the Father

We believe in God the Father, the infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answer sprayer, and that He saves from sin and death all those who will come to Him through Jesus Christ.(Genesis 1:1; John 4:24; John 3:16)

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, the living Word of God who became flesh and dwelt among us as the only begotten Son of God. He is the creator of all things and by the mighty word of his power all things do exist and consist. We believe that He has precisely the same nature, attributes and perfections as God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. We believe further that He is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We also believe in His sinless life, His substitution atonement, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, His priestly intercession on behalf of His people, and His personal, visible, pre-millennial return from heaven. (John 1:1, 14, 18; John 14:6; John 10:27-30; Colossians 1:16,17: Hebrews 1:3)

Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, His personality, and His work in regeneration, sanctification, and preservation. His ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and implement Christ’s work of redeeming the lost and empowering the believer for godly living and service. (Genesis 1:2; John14:26; Acts 5:3; I Corinthians 12:12, 13)

Man

We believe that God created man, male and female (Adam and Eve), in His own image and freeform sin. We affirm that Adam through a conscious and deliberate act of his will sinned against God in the Garden of Eden, thereby separating himself and his offspring (mankind) from the presence and fellowship of God. We further believe therefore that man is now a sinner by nature and choice and is therefore spiritually dead. We soberly believe that all men in their natural state are separated from God from conception and stand condemned before him. Without the healing grace of Jesus Christ, man, after death, will eternally endure the just punishment for his sins in the Lake of Fire. We also believe however that those who repent of sin and trust Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and will live forever in the glorious Kingdom of God.(Genesis 1:26, 27; Isaiah 59:2 Romans 3:23: Revelation 20:11-15)

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a free gift from God granted solely by His loving grace, totally independent of religious ritual or personal merit. We affirm that salvation is defined as deliverance of a person from the presence and penalty of sin before God and the impartation of spiritual life. Salvation restores a man to the place of intimacy and fellowship with God which was forfeited in the Garden of Eden. Salvation therefore secures a place for the redeemed person in God’s eternal Kingdom and is the only means by which he may enter heaven. We believe that salvation was purchased for mankind by the substitutionary death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and that it is appropriated individually to those who receive it through child-like faith in Him. We further believe that this salvation is based upon the sovereign grace of God, and was purchased by Christ on the cross, and is received by man through faith, apart from any human merit, works, or ritual. We also further believe that salvation naturally results in the bearing of the fruits of righteous living, good works, and proper social concern in the lives of those who believe.(Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 6:23)

We also believe in the eternal security of the believer, redeemed based on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, and His resurrection. We believe that by faith alone in the finished work of Christ man is justified before God the Father and one’s sins are forgiven once and for all. (1Peter 1:2-4, 1 John 10:27-29)
